Chip Lohmiller
Chip Lohmiller began his football journey at the University of Minnesota, where he became the school’s all-time leading scorer and earned All-Big Ten honors. Drafted in the second round of the 1988 NFL Draft by Washington, he quickly established himself as one of the league’s most reliable kickers. Lohmiller played seven seasons in Washington, scoring 687 points and helping the team win Super Bowl XXVI, where he contributed 13 points. In 1991, he led the NFL in scoring with 149 points and became the first kicker in league history to make four field goals of 45+ yards in a single game. He earned Pro Bowl and Second-Team All-Pro honors that season. Known for his clutch kicks, Lohmiller often delivered in high-pressure moments. Lohmiller finished his NFL career in New Orleans and St. Louis, totaling 913 points over nine seasons. After retiring from football, he returned to Minnesota and transitioned into public service.
